Council’s New Websites: An Updated Digital Experience for the Communit
Published on 18 February 2025
Council is excited to announce the launch of its newly upgraded Council and Tourism websites, allowing customers to find all Council information and information from around the region in one spot with a fresh new look.
In line with the Council’s resolution from the Ordinary Council meeting on 19 May 2022, Warrumbungle Shire Council will be launching their newly upgraded websites this week. This project, which aims to meet the growing needs of our community, marks a significant milestone in our efforts to improve digital accessibility, enhance online services, and ensure compliance with modern technology standards.
“The redevelopment of our two websites is a major step forward in making Council services more accessible and user-friendly for all members of our community,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor Councillor Kathryn Rindfleish. “We are committed to ensuring that everyone, whether at home or visiting, has seamless access to the information and services they need.”
The redevelopment of the website was carried out in collaboration with Granicus, a company selected after a competitive quotation process. This redesign includes a complete overhaul of the main Council website and the creation of a dedicated subsite for the Warrumbungle Region Tourism site, making information more accessible to the public and visitors alike.
“Our focus has been on making this platform easier to navigate and more inclusive, while also providing an enhanced online experience for both residents and tourists,” Cr Rindfleish explained. “This project is all about improving our digital presence and ensuring we are meeting modern standards for accessibility and user experience.”
We are pleased to inform you that the development phase has been completed. To allow for the final changeover in domains, the main website and Tourism website domain will be offline briefly on 20 and 21 February 2025. During this short period, you may experience some disruption to access, but we’ll ensure you are kept informed through media and communications over the coming week.
Stay tuned for more updates and prepare to explore our refreshed online presence that reflects the Council's commitment to providing improved services for the community!
