Exciting news for the Dunedoo Community, Council has secured a new location for the Dunedoo Post Office to move into, ensuring this critical service can continue for the community.

“In a significant step for the Dunedoo community, Council has announced an exciting plan to lease the front section of the Old Bank Building at 42 Bolaro Street,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Kathryn Rindfleish. “This new lease agreement will allow the Dunedoo Post Office to relocate to the building, ensuring that this vital service remains a central part of daily life in the town.”

The new lease will begin on 12 May 2025, with postal services expected to officially start operating at the Old Bank Building on 26 May 2025. This move will allow the Post Office to continue providing essential services to local residents and businesses without interruption, even as the Post Office makes a fresh start in a new, more accessible location.

“Council’s decision to support the relocation reflects its strong commitment to keeping critical services available to Dunedoo’s residents. The Post Office is a crucial resource for both personal and business needs, and ensuring that it remains within the community is a top priority for the Council,” said Cr Rindfleish.

The Old Bank Building, located in the heart of Dunedoo, offers a central and convenient location for the Post Office, making it easily accessible to everyone in the town.

“This relocation is great news for the community! We understand how important it is to keep essential services like the Post Office right here in Dunedoo. The Old Bank Building is an ideal location, and we’re pleased to see this move come to fruition, Cr Rindfleish concluded.
