We offer a range of exciting opportunities for up-and-coming apprentices, trainees and cadets to join our team.
We want to see you reach your goals. We pride ourselves on giving you work that really matters - you gain valuable work experience while studying towards your desired qualification.
In addition, Council pays trainees and apprentices above-award wages, and employs you directly so that you have access to salary packaging to optimise your pay, and you start accruing long service leave (did you know, in Local Government you can take long service leave after five years' service?)
Whether you are still in school, studying or want a career change, we are interested in hearing from you! We encourage school students to plan on completing year 12, or if you finished school at year 10, we prefer that you have completed at least two years in the workforce afterwards.
Council usually advertises its next intake of trainees and apprentices annually in August, for commencement the following year although this may vary from time to time. If you are interested, it's a great idea to sign up for job alerts.
