Elections
The Warrumbungle Shire is led by a Mayor and 8 Councillors.
These 9 elected officials meet regularly to make decisions about policies, services and important issues that affect the Shire. Council staff then work to make sure Councillor's decisions are effectively put into action.
Councillors do not make decisions about Development Applications.
The latest election
The 2024 election was uncontested. The number of candidates was equal to the number of Councillors required and therefore the Community was not required to vote on 14 September 2024. The next election will be held in 2028.
